Cool

Try this link You want the one that says "Latest_NVinject.0.2.1.zip"

Give NVinject a try I bet it works. Follow the directions on the post I linked to.

If NVinject doesn't work try manually installing NVkush. Here is just the kext: http://rapidshare.com/files/175004197/NVkush.zip

P.S. Im just giving you a hard time with the google thing. I had to do it as it was the first on the page.

Nfoav8or: Ive been saving it for a top of the search results situation. Sorry Alphaman I am just being an ass.

Likewise here are the instructions that I linked to just so that we have all the information in one place.

1. Remove all video related kexts (nvkush, nvinject...)
2. Copy NVinject.kext to /System/Library/Extensions
3. In Terminal write:
Code:
sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/NVinject.kext
4. Copied NVinject.kext to /System/Library/Extensions
5. Enter your admin password when prompted
6. In Terminal write:
Code:
sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/NVinject.kext
sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache
sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.mkext
7. Restart using the boot flags:
Code:
-v -f -F
-v Verbose
-f Ignore extensions cache
-F Ignore com.apple.boot.plist settings

If use any other boot flags add them to number 7.

Neither worked. Upon trying to install nvinject and typing in sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache in the terminal it says no such file or directory

don't worry about this error... sometimes the kextcache isn't recreated.

EDIT: oh wait... I've got the same on-board video as you. CI/QE isn't supported by this. You need a better GPU. I'd recommend a PCI-e card with at least 256MB dedicated video RAM. sorry bud. I simply don't show it in my signature so it never crossed my mind until now.

And you did reboot using the flags
Code:
-v -f -F
right?

[EDIT] Unfortunately he has only one PCI slot available. Though there are PCI graphics cards available.

the 6150 LE should get resolution support... but it doesn't have the capability for CI/QE support.

The only settings it has in Displays is 1024x768 and millions that's it.

[Edit] Yes I did the boot flags.

Have you tried using EFI strings for this? OSx86 Tools Utility (from pcwizcomputer) has an EFI string for this. If you need help using EFi strings just ask, but I think the app was made to be pretty self-sufficient and self-explaining.

Red face Help me!

I have the same initial problem alphaman had "the apple loading sign upon a successful install yet it just keeps spinning and nothing else happens". Actually, i only get the loading sign when i type "cpus=1" when i boot and if i do a straight boot, then i would just get a grey apple with a white background with no loading. When i flag -v on startup to see where i get "hung up" it stops at "MAC Framework successfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers". Could you guys PLEASE help me out! I'm using the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD. Specs:

80GB Serial ATA hard drive
4GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333 (PC3 10666)
ASUS P5Q3 Motherboard LGA 775
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.4GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 video card with 896MB
D-Link WDA-1320 IEEE 802.11b/g
