First reboot scared me, as it loaded the apple screen then rebooted, but entering -v -f seemed to let it boot into ... 10.5.8!!! Thanks, punk_zappa!!! Going to reboot again now, without flags just to be sure.

Even if I need to flush the cache everytime, you're still my hero.
