OSx86 is not as cut and dry as most people would like it to be. You cannot just expect it to work on your system without messing around with it first. Have you tried to make a boot-132 disc to swap out for a retail yet (or your kalyway disc)? ![]() Last edited by nfoav8or; 12-07-2008 at 06:06 PM. |

I have a GA-EP45-DS3L (JMicron JMB368)
Intel C2D 7300 Hitachi 300GB SATA Samsung IDE DVD 2GB OCZ DDR2 1066MHz I cannot for the life of me get any distro DVD to boot. I set BIOS like they need to be set and still nothing. ANy help would be awesome. I also don't have advance knowledge of making a boot 132 disk. Is there a guide on here? Last edited by nateman06; 12-08-2008 at 03:18 PM. |

found this on the wiki: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/in...0.5.2#Gigabyte
Then scroll down to the second listed board (your GA-EP45-DS3L) and it explains how it can be done. There's also: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=135948 and this one has photos of the setup for the BIOS as well. ![]() Last edited by nfoav8or; 12-08-2008 at 06:07 PM. |

Hello! I have exactly the same problem with my GA-EP45-DS3P. I have a SATA hard drive but an IDE DVD-RW. I wonder how did you managed to boot via the IDE DVD.. Is there any settings in the BIOS? I have AHCI enabled and tried almost all of the possible BIOS settings. Maybe the key is a specific combination of settings.. Can you help me please? Thank you!
