@zephyroth:

2 tries with the same DVD I burned.

1st try: installation stucked at "about a minute left" mark.

2nd try: installation failed at the final stages.

I'll try to burn another DVD and try to install again.

ASUS M2N-E NForce 570
AMD X2+ 4800
eVGA 8800GT 512MB
80GB IDE/200GB SATA

Thanks

Ok guys I really need your help on this one.

I managed to include the kext for my ATA / SATA controller into the DVD using TransMac. Great piece of software BTW. It succesfuly finds my ATA DVD and SATA disk. However, as soon as the installer loads the NTFS driver and detects my NTFS Windows Vista Partiton (which is not active) and echo's it's label, everything hangs. Is there anything i can do to avoid this?

Btw, on my other system, i still get the same error as i did before and i'm sort of giving up on it ever running this release :-(.

Help would be great!

I had a same problem with the new MeDevil's kext. Had to inject the ones from Rev1. In my case the error was caused by my nForce S-ATA RAID not being supported (dev id 00ee) so boot was stuck trying to detect the partition on my RAID array. I've heard that some people had the same issue even with disabled RAID controller. Try booting with -x (safe mode) switch.

[cite] zephyroth:[/cite]I think I didn't incorporate MacOSXUpd10.5.2 correctly ...
All problems are related to files in this update.

iChat, Sync Server ...

I need to check this but at the moment I'm working on one of the surprises I promised.

:-)

Im using MBR for my hdd, could it be from a faulty dvd burn? I'll try to burn it again at a slower speed and see if that solves it...

It should work. However, I did hear other users comment about the same multimedia error in other releases. Do a search on the forums, and see where you can get. I never encountered this kind of problem.

Is it a full 3GB ISO again or just a small ppf patch?
