I have to use an External monitor on my Dell Latitude D620 Hack. Please help.
I got a dell Latitude D620 hackintosh. Only thing not working is the Screen. The second it boots the screen goes out and I have to connect an external monitor. At the screen on the external monitor would be all messed up. Then I would have to use -v Graphics Mode=800x600x32 to have the external monitor display correctly. Can someone please help. I have tried a million kexts and extenstions. Don't know what is causing this. E-mail [email protected] or [email protected] with solution.

You will find everything you need to get your machine running smooth. If you cannot manage it yourself (although it shouldn't be hard to do so. Even I managed to get my D430 working like a charm) just ask for help. There is a bunch of really dedicated and knowledgable people willing to help. Hope this helps. |

Try searching for an app and script (they need to go in your Applications folder) called SleepDisplay. I'm not too technically minded but they do the job (haven't tried it with Snow Leopard though). They put the monitor to sleep and then wake - trick the OS into working with the laptop monitor. Works on a D620.
