thanks roisoft
You said "LG DVD-RW first ide port (master) I donīt have more ide devices"
then why did you advice me to use my DVD writer as "SLAVE"?
and I couldn't understand why did you multiply everything with 2? You have 2 PCs?

roisoft 02-13-2008 10:43 PM

1. becasue you have an ide HD (you can try change the order)
2. yes :D

zamboo 02-13-2008 10:47 PM

Good for you :D
I will try that as soon as I got home (working at the moment).
Did you download the image from Pirate as Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.1 for AMD SSE2/SSE3 (32bits)?

roisoft 02-13-2008 10:48 PM

yes, good luck :)

roisoft:

sata to ide? What's that?

Also, I want to know what your bootflag options are. Because I tried everytihng you just listed, and it still won't let me login.

roisoft 02-13-2008 11:02 PM

Sata drives working like ide drives (non raid) Sata 1/2 Enabled Sata 3/4 Enabled. Nvidia raid disabled

I donīt need boot flags. I always install from a spare partition, You must to have another tiger/leo/MAC working.

LohnenNicht 02-13-2008 11:06 PM

ok, like I said, I tried to transfer my account info from my iMac (I'm using it to type this), and it stilld oesn't let me log in.

I guess the best way to do this is to also put Tiger on it. Unfortunately, Uphuck and Tubgirl have both been very difficult to get to work. They would crash a lot when I booted up my system. Saying "You must restart your computer" in about 2340923053 different languages.

Do you have an external case?

if yes, put your disk here and plug the case to the imac, open the disk utility and format the disk with 2 partitions (guid)

restore the zephy iso to the second partition and install pc_efi from your imac. Plug again the hd in your amd system and boot from the second partition and install.

Hey roisoft, thanks for the suggestion, but when I try booting from the external hard drive, it does boot up and work, but only to the point where the AppleNForceATA thing is loaded, and then it just says "still waiting for root device" looping. Any other suggestions? I really want to get leopard to work on my system here... here's the code:

Quote:

Any suggestions?

The problem is in the USB legacy, you canīt boot from a external HD with USB2 enable in bios, I donīt know if it works only with Usb 1.1
