[cite] zephyroth:[/cite]I burned the DVD at 16x without any problems ... Very strange that people who tried to burn it at slow speed managed to fix their problem.
I think it depends alot on the program you use to burn it, i burned a coaster of the original release with toast. I burned another working copy with diskutility. Go figure.

K3B on Linux.

According to what I see on the photo it seems that your copy is not good ... but you're not the only one who experiences this issue.

Tomorrow, I will try another DVD drive (SATA) and I tell you about result.

the funny thing about this is that i even tried a copy of 10.5.1 that injected a via sata kext to (finnaly learned how) and i ended up with the same result, though i had previously installed it on an IDE drive fine (just ran slow as hell)

maybe i should install windows on my extra ide hd and use vmware to install leo, since thats always how i had to install it for tiger

there is another option if you have plenty of disk space and no DVD's. Write the ISO to another partition, flag it bootable and boot the install from it.

Hi!
I install another DVD drive (SATA Lite-On) and, after that, system installation was successfull. I used the DVD disk, which I recorded earlier on BENQ DW1640.
I noticed that on BENQ DW1640 drive the speed of reading was maximum, but on the Lite-On drive DVD disk was reading with minimum speed. May be this is the reason of errors? How can I improve it?
