with about 7 mins left i get a message saying "INSTALL FAILED. The Installer could not validate the contents of the 'JavaTools' package. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance" i can not figure out what it means anyone have an idea

It's strange ... Sounds like an issue while burning the ISO.

i have used 2 different burners and two types of blank dvds multiple times at different speeds
what should i do? Did you check the md5sum of your ISO ?

Hey zeph do you know of an issue of the install stopping with about a min to go in 10.5.2 with like a half a inch everything stops except the mouse and then I have to do a cold shut down but when I reboot leopard still loads, should I go back into the install?

Yes you should.
Did you check the install log ? Because at the end of the installation process, the installation does a "diskutil repairPermissions" and system seems stuck at one minute left. Ok thanks when I go back into the install should I change it back to what i customized the install to or go straight through without changing anything?

Don't select anything but don't forget to deselect all unneeded languages !
