|

ok! seems like i have a big problem!!.LOLLL
THX anyway.. Ill wait for the next released. |
Run from dvd with -v option an see what chipset are using for installation. then check it at install options.
For example.. I have an SB450, but when I installed I could see "ATA VIA chipset".. so, first time installed I dont check "VIA CHIPSET" and when I reboot ... "Still waiting for root device" message occurred. Second time install, I check this opcion (VIA Chipset) and... leopard is running :) Sorry for my English. I hope your leopard running :) Gaston |
I was going to say have you checked your drive setup, but since you've had it working with Leo4All this probably won't apply.
If your hard disk is ide, make sure that the CD drive is set to master on channel 0, with the hard disk setup as slave on the same channel. On my machine I was getting the same error until i did this. |
Ill try to reset my bios to default and retry an install...maybe ho maybe.....
|
ok so here is my latest test........
i did not play in bios.stay as it was before... install went ok, format mbr + nforce chipset, NO VIDEO DRIVER,toh 9.2,mbr fix.. AND YOU KNOW WHAT!!!!! it works. so it must be the video driver, that made the kernel attack. ************************************************** ********************* 1 - now i need to install a video driver that wont crach the install 2 - now i need the wifi to work |
btw.........
i did the install in french, and the os is in english???? how can i have french osx?? |
Did you select French language translation in customization option during installation? If so, go to System Preferences and change your language to French. If not you can install it later.
When promted to customize installation you also had third party drivers that Zephyrot included. You should have picked nvidia 10.5.2 kexts and 8800-512 nvinject, but you can do it now of course. go to Terminal and become 'sudo -s' cd /Volumes/Leopard-10.5.2-AMD-EFI/System/Installation/Packages/ Here you have the packages and you can copy French.pkg and install it cp -R French.pkg /Users/~yourname/Desktop/ (double click on it later and install) cd NVidia cp -R NVidia-Kexts.pkg /Users/~yourname/Desktop/ cp -R NVinject-512.pkg /Users/~yourname/Desktop/ now you have copied these two packages to your desktop, install them both and you'll have working video. Cheers! |
