Newbie needs help!
Hi Guys!
I have a Core2 Quad system (Q6600) with an Intel motherboard, 2gb of RAM, NVidia 9600GT, 400gb of harddisk, running Ubuntu Linux. I want to install OS X alongside my Linux. I'm currently downloading iAtkos v5i, but I'm lost on the installation instructions. What should I do to install OS X, with system updates and all, alongside Ubuntu, without losing my data and as vanilla as possible? Thanks for everything, TheShadow. |
Hello and welcome to Infinitemac,
You just missed to tell us your Intel's mobo exact model number.. it is very important to know. The rest is all fine and you'll be able to run osx just great. Regards |
Hi Milanca!
Thanks! The model is DG31PR. Cheers, TheShadow. |
What about installing it alongside Ubuntu? Any tips?
Should I be worried about EFI x Grub? Do I need to change the partition type? What about when Apple issues an update? Cheers, TheShadow. |
