I would like to learn how to make a bootable dvd and a bootable hard drive(you can never be to careful). Can I use my internal hard drive or does it have to be external?
THANX |
Using disk utility you can restore it to another drive or partition. It won't be bootable on it's own as the bootloader is held in the mbr. After restoring it, you can download and install the chameleon bootloader to the drive.
FYI, it's also possible to boot a drive using the install dvd's bootloader. Just start from the dvd and don't press anything when prompted and it will load the os x partition. |

best way to back this up (and the kexts) is to use osx86tool :) EDIT: is it that hard to use google? http://www.google.de/search?q=osx86tool |
