Hi, I've a very good running Leaopard but now I discovered the new speedstep Kernel and would like to install this one. Is there a good tutorial or can anyone explain the installation process ? Is there anything to be patched later on?

I mean this Kernel (9.2.0 speedstep kernel w/ shutdown fix http://tinyurl.com/yub3k6)

Or was the 9.2.0. Kernel in Zephyroth's latest release already a speedstep Kernel? If that is the case I would change nothing of course. ;)

It's very easy to install a new kernel. The one in 10.5.2 is not a speedstep kernel.

Open a Terminal and type :

Code:

sudo -s
<your password>
mv /mach_kernel /mach_kernel.old
cp "Path to Speedstep kernel" /
chown root:wheel /mach_kernel
chmod 644 /mach_kernel

and you can reboot.
