hi,

I installed ntfs-3g and it works great, the only downside is that I'm not able to search the volumes/partitions with spotlight. this really sucks if you have a lot of files.

I tried this in terminal: sudo mdutil -i on "/Volumes/disk name"
but does not help

Is there any way to search ntfs with leopard?

You also need to have MacFuse installed then you can use the SpotlightFS plugin.

Thanks for the reply
I already had MacFuse installed

I downloaded the spotlightFS but when I click on it nothing happens

It says that it's for tiger, does it work for you on leopard?

Spotlightfs version 0.1.0 for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard ---> http://spotlightfs.darwinports.com/

Try this one, maybe it works.

I tried that one also, but still nothing happens when I click on the spotlightFS
When I try to delete it, it says: The item "SpotlightFS" cannot be moved to Trash because it is open, so it is somehow active but nothing happens

I tried to add my music that's on my NTFS drives to iTunes, so that I can at least find my music files easily. But iTunes doesn't just import the music files to the library but it copy's them to my home music folder. that means that I'll have all those gigs of music twice.... a waste of disk space. It's also not possible to make an alias of a file/folder on a NTFS drive.

anyone any ideas how to fix this little issue?
