For some reason, every once in a while and everytime I try to install Vista on VMware of Parallels, I get a light grey screen that appears over my desktop and tells me that "Your computer must restart..." what's up with this?

Computer specs:
AMD Athlon™ 6000+ x2
ASUS CROSSHAIR AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX
4 GB DDR3 RAM
HP dvd 840 Lightscribe
e-Force 8800 gts supercloacked

Do you have Memory hole remapping disabled in the bios, when using 4gb+ ram without having a native 64 bit os you will get hard locks when transferring large files.

Nope. Thanks I will try that hopefully that will work

That did the trick :) I should have known that the 4 gb would have been an issue with a 32 bit os, just like in Windows XP. Again thanks.

I get the very same problem. But mine has occurred a few times when I am making a time machine backup and doing other things while it runs in the background. I only have 2GB of ram. So do I still have the same problem? If so I ask the same question as riangeli how do I get to this option so I can change it :)

Thanks
