10.6.0 sound, 10.6.2 sound, 10.6.7 no sound

followed the guide and had sound in 10.6.0. upgraded from 10.6.2 dmg, going through all steps again and had sound. upgraded to 10.6.7, followed all steps again and get the error message and no sound....

great idea, but no go. i tried removing the vodoo preference pane with appzapper
and then followed your instructions. still didn't work. do you think i should try reinstalling everything?

the only thing different is that i did not go to 10.6.4. i went from 10.6.1 to 10.6.7. i've done it 3 times now, following the guide. i'm sure i'm doing something wrong but i have no idea what.

no sound

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the system twice and still can't get sound. I'm fully up and running then try installing the preference pane and get an error. This is at 10.6.7.
