that's just too weird: did it just start working with the 10.5.2 update? 'cause on my M2A-VM firewire was not working before that and I had to disable it in the BIOS. haven't tested it with 10.5.2...

But, if you're brave, you can try to get X11 working. I have it working completely, but OpenOffice itself is a bit of a pain in the ass to get to run. I'm still trying to make that work.

I have this issue too, it seems to be an issue with the MAC address that cannot be found indeed. flexlm has that too, so e.g. maple won't activate.
