This a problem with how your imap account has been setup in entourage. In your account prefs just uncheck ssl.

In Apple Mail this is enabled as default and causes the same error.

ASU should patch it fine, quicktime updates are normally very low risk. Worst case scenario you can always run Marvins to resolve any problems. :)
