I didn't expect it to work either, but sure enough, at the correct time, surprise, surprise, it booted itself.
Perhaps something in the EFI emulation sets up the "turn on at set time" in the BIOS?...

How the hell does it fit 58GB of VM into a 40GB hard drive!? My other 200GB drive only has 10GB of space left, so it can't well be shoving it there.
