I don't know how but I got it to boot somehow again. I kept changing the bios to optimized defaults and then disabling the ata controller (which didn't change anything previously) and somehow it...

Is it possible for me to compile my own DSDT...

Is it possible for me to compile my own DSDT based on the bios/hardware from say, XP or ubuntu? I have a working XP install on a different hard drive. Would that fix it?
