AFAIK Apple cut off SCSI support at Intel Macs totally after 10.4.1 (my Adaptec Ultra2940U2W card was working only in Tiger 10.4.1 Hack). Did your SCSI controller was working previously or this is your first install?

@ryoken : Thanx for your help.

It's the first install on this computer.

I have another one with SAS drives, it's the same problem.

Seems that everybody uses SATA or IDE ? Strange !

Thanx again for the info,

iero.

Has anybody installed 10.5.2 on a AMD Turion machine yet and gotten it to work? Well more importantly gotten it to boot?

AFAIK, for MacOS X to work with SAS drive, you'll need Apple SAS RAID Card (or how is it called correctly, dunno much of this ), which bases at LSI Logic controller. According to specs I fount, your machine have PCI-X 133 controller. I doubt that Apple or controller maker have universal kexts for your hardware (some of kexts ARE PowerPC only for PowerMac's compatibility). That's it . (All this is my IMHO, I'm not a guru in this).

I can't see DVD drives in DiskUtility, but I'm never thought this is useful anyway. Mounted Install disk can be seen in Terminal. (sorry my English, not native language . Feel free to correct plz )

@Ryoken : I have a machine with a LSI chipset (LSI Logicฎ LSISAS1068E 8-port SAS Controller) for SAS : http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en...1-3211286.html

But I cannot see SAS drives neither. i opened a thread about this here http://osx.kbot.de/comments.php?Disc...&page=1#Item_3 but SAS is quite recent and I think that I'm quite the only AMD user to try to put leopard on it...

Thanx,

iero.
