Problelm To Install Snow Leopard

I followed this guide to install Snow Leopard on my Dell Inspiron 1420.
I mounted the Snow Leopard image to an external hard drive instead of a USB flash drive.Darwin boots correctly, but when it gets to the Apple logo, it tells me to push the power button and restart again.

I have Leopard installed already on one of the partitions, but it barely works. It works enough, so I can mount the image.

Can anyone show me a way to install Snow Leopard on my Dell Inspiron 1420?
