Realtek Audio issues [Acer Aspire 5517]

What's up everyone?

So I've done a successful install of OSX on one of my Dell desktops and have decided to attempt to get OSX running on my laptop. It's an Acer Aspire 5517-1643.

Anyway, the installation was successful, however, I can't for the life of me get the audio working properly.

I've installed the azalia kexts with no luck. When I installed this particular kext, I could finally see my HD audio device and could also see the volume control in the finder bar, but no sound at all.

I also tried the generic AC97 audio and ALC88X kexts. No luck there either.

I did attempt and install the voodooHDA kext and sound does work, however, there is crackling unless I move the mouse around a lot.

Here is what I've found for my system specs so far in terms of my audio:

00:14.2 Audio device [0403]: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) [1002:4383]

PCWizard 2010 gave me the following information:

-------------
Sound Devices
-------------
Description: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Default Sound Playback: Yes
Default Voice Playback: Yes
Hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0272&SUBSYS_1025028D& REV_1000
Manufacturer ID: 1
Product ID: 100

SB600 HD Audio Controller.
MODE AC'97

When in "About this mac" I see:

Intel High Definition Audio
Device ID: 0x1025028D
Audio ID: 12
Speakers: internal
Microphone: internal

Oh and I installed iDENEB V_1.4 10.5.6 with no audio kexts selected.

I've searched numerous forums, searched google many times over and have had no luck ironing this issue out.

If anyone can save the last bit of sanity I have left, I'd sincerely appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

-S
