![]() Hi all,
I'm pretty new in Hacknitosh world, I installed iDeneb 10.5.5, system won't boot up by itself, you need to inset the iDened DVD into the DVD drive, then it can boot up. Am I missing something? Intel D945GCLF2 Mini-ITX board, Atom 330 CPU, 2G ram, 250G HDD, DVD burner. Many Thanks. ![]() GMow |

Sounds like you missed installing the bootloader or it didn't install correctly for some reason. To fix download and install Chameleon

What I meant is that when customising your install options you may have missed the bootloader.

@ gmow - When you say "system won't boot up by itself, you need to inset the iDened DVD into the DVD drive, then it can boot up" this is pretty characteristic of a bootloader problem. It doesn't mean you did something intentionally wrong, or even that it was your fault at all. When installing OS X, the Install DVD needs complete access to the HD you are installing to in order for it to finalize the script for the drive to boot when called upon. This is what the bootloader is.
So from the sound of it, If you need the DVD to initialize your drive before you can access it, just install Chameleon once you've booted into OS X and on the next boot you shouldn't need the DVD in the drive anymore. ![]() |

Voyn1x posted a link for you in his first post... Did you even click on it ?
Here: http://chameleon.osx86.hu/file_downl...-installer.zip Download Chameleon by clicking that link, double click to install then reboot without the DVD to see if it worked. |
