Weird Sound Issues...

Ok i have an Realtek ALC860 Sound, it doesnt work... but in System Profiler i click in on Audio and it has it there...



i tried installing my sound with a differnt kext but i can't remember which one... any ideas on whats going on?

You could try either VoodooHDA (latest version) or patched AppleHDA for ALC860...

control pannel says no devices, and Voodoo HDA is the one is used!

Use the getdump utility of VoodooHDA to export your codec config (if any...) it it should not work, use Linux to get a codec dump and send it to me...
I'll mod an AppleHDA driver for your codec customly... (when I have the time)
