I have a same configuration, i use the retail10.6 with kakewalk. Everything work, just not sound. Can you help me?How to installed yours systems? Bios setting,etc...

Hi Oliver,
I have same configuration, also Kakawalk. I buy an USB-Soundcard, wich works oob. Bios settings? SATA must be AHCI and HPET set to 64 Bit, no USB3 and no SATA6 (disable) and no RAID. As WLAN I have NoteBook Pci-Express D-Link DWA 643, with a pci-e-adapter. All works oob!

im have gigabyte x58a ud3r mobo sound full work snow leopard 10.6.3 can you use my files dont forget repair permision sound come back install 10.6.3 update and delete system/library/extension/appleHDA.kext
copy my appleHDA.kext and HDAEnaber.kext go /system/library/extension and paste
copy my all extra folder and replac your extra folder or install chameleon rc4 and put my all extra folder repair permision with disk utulity and restart sound and sleep full work use chameleon rc4 end my boot file
