system slow during disk activity
the system (10.5.6 ipc) is very slow during disk activiry, like unarchiving a big file or more than 5 running torrents. for example, safari becomes unresponsive, even when entering and address in the address bar. i have 2 sata disks, all hfs+. i did not have the same problems with linux running on the same machine, so it must be something software. can anyone help? thanks.
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
RAM: 2 x 1 Gb
2xSATA HDD
ATA DVDRW
MB Asus M2N Nvidia MCP61
Video: GeForce 8600 GT 256 Mb RAM
ADI 1988 onboard audio
Audigy soundcard
Realtek lan

I have the same problem on my notebook acer travelmate 4404.
The difference is that my chipset is ATI (RS480M and SB400).
You have to solve the problem?

I am running iDeneb 1.4 (OS 10.5.6).
