hi new her, help problem w/ 10.5.8 after update

hello all.

I hope I'm in the right place. if not where to next...

So this is my problem:

I install ideneb 10.5.6 and 10.5.7 after that a new update come out, so I update to that
too, 10.5.8

at the time when had 10.5.6 ideneb running with NO Problems what so ever. after I did the update to 10.5.8 system boot OK, but I found one problem,
can't run time machine when I select the backup drive. on the old 10.5.6 and 10.5.7 I was able run the time machine with no problem at all, and did same backup on my first install and I loaded
my software like ilife + iwork.

if any one can help resolve this problem please let no..

ok. so this what get when I click on time machine.

following error:
"""" Time Machine Could Not be Configured, The Built-in interface could not found"""

my internal LAN port is working: the driver I'm using is 88E8056 Marvell driver.
the <key>IOPCIPrimarymatch<key> is <string>0x436411AB<string> And also
my PCIE express wireless card 802.11N is also working too.

so got me thinking:
I when to my old backup's before I did the update and look at my old Info.plist
to see if it match up with the one on 10.5.8 some parts did match, but nevertheless
I copy and past to 10.5.8 Info.plist and then I open a terminal and did the following
below:.

sudo rm -r /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

diskutil repairPermissions /

ctrl x
and close the terminal

Reboot the system.
-v -f
everything checkout o.k. no panic.

still get the same : ERROR ABOVE.. when I open time machine and pick my HD drive.

I check out every forum for mac osx ideneb 10.5.8 but it seem that no one has a
answer.. but other user hive the same problem. they try to resolve the problem too.

My system is:
Asus Rampage Extreme x48 w/Intel Q9450
corsair ddr3 xm2 1600mhz 4GB
BFG-8800GTS 640MB HC SSC/2
HDA x2 160 sata2 300/16

thanks all

Its because osx doesn't see your lan as an internal one.
You can change this by adding a efi string to show as internal, or one of the many time machine fixes

I'd recommend using efi studio to install a string
