Hey everyone,

I have a small question concerning legacy USB support. I remembered that when I first installed os x on my pc (it was 10.4.8, i think), I had to deactivate legacy USB in my bios (MB: Asus A8N32-Sli Deluxe) - i am not sure if it was so that USB devices were recognized in os x, or if it was so that USB2.0 worked. Something in that taste.

Now i realize I need legacy usb to boot from a usb stick, which is something i'd like to do from time to time (i have a ubuntu pendrive). Since 10.5.2 and all that, is it ok for me to reactivate legacy USB? or is it still a bad idea?

In my case it was fine, not the same mb (MSI K9AGM2) but 10.4.9 needed legacy disabled in Bios. Installed the Zeph 10.5.2 R1, reactivated legacy again and it was all there.
Have a lot of issues however with 10.5 so I've gone back to !0.4. for the meantime.
Could you not reactivate Legacy in the Bios before you boot from the stick? Switch it back when rebooting to Osx?
