Recover data from Dell with iatkos Leopard
Hello,
I have a problem with my dell XPS m1210: it's graphic card is gone...I get a black screen when I turn the power one (it boots, but don't see anything). I have also tried to plug in an external monitor, but no success. On this dell, I have installed iatkos 7 Leopard. My question: is there a possibility to recover the data from the HDD of my dell? If yes, how can I do that? I have searched for answers on the forums, but couldn't find an appropriate one. Thank you in advance for your answers! |

Cri00,
You have several options to retrieve your documents. If your problem is hardware related, remove your hard drive and plug into a second machine with OSX. You can do this directly or via a USB to EIDE/SATA adapter. If you problem is software related, you should be able to boot your original installation disk. From the installation menu, you can access terminal and transfer your documents to a USB drive or external hard drive. You should be able to search this forum and/or your preferred search engine for command line instructions. If needed, I can go into detail on the process for retrieving your documents. 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers.
