Chameleon on AMD laptop, powers down??
So I want to install Snow or Leopard on my AMD Laptop (HP DV6000) But there is one issue currently in my way.
I set the USB stick or HDD (with snow) to first in the bios, but after it gets past BIOS, it powers off, and reboots. I tried Chameleon RC1, RC3, PCEFI 10.3, and all power it down. Windows 7 boots fine though. Anyway to solve this issue? Yes, but the problem is chameleon does not even show up, it just powers off before the GUI on chameleon even appears.

how much RAM do you have in the laptop? If it's more than 4 gigs, type maxmem=4096 at the darwin prompt and see if it works. I had a similar problem with my AMD desktop machine.

Try plugging in a keyboard and mouse and see if that makes any difference

I will try that later, but if I get it to work, how would I use the laptop on the go if i have to use a keyboard plugged in?
