Problems with 10.5.4 (Leo4allv4.1) on HP dv2416
I posted this on another forum and haven't gotten any help, so I'll try here. Thanks in advance for any help.
My latpop is: HP dv2416 AMD Turion x2 GeForceGO 6150 video card Broadcom4312 wi-fi NForceLan CoxenantHD Audio I've installed Leo4All4.1 and it seems ok. Put in the kexts to get display to 1280X800. Have a few issues though: 1. Can't boot without a flag. Sometimes I have to use -f, sometimes -s, sometimes -f -x -v cpus=1. I can NEVER boot without the disk in the drive. Why and how do I fix it? I want it to boot up like a normal OS should. *Got it to boot without install DVD in drive, still need flag though...* 2. Wi-Fi and Ethernet do not show up. I installed NvidiaForceEthernet.kext and still nothing. This will be pointless without internet access. I found this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/ind...howtopic=51725 and will be trying that out in a few. Any tips in the meantime? *Got ethernet working, still no wi-fi....* 3. Sometimes my laptop just shuts down. I've been super hard on her and she's gonna die soon, just want to be sure that it's not maybe something wrong with OsX. *For some reason trying to adjust the trackpad/keyboard/mouse settings causes system preferences to quit also. Then the machine starts acting weird...* Here's what I chose in customize for Leo: Quote:

Have you tried to install just the 9.2 kernel instead of StageXNU? Try without a bootloader but remember to boot with the DVD.

Thanks for the reply! Been looking for days and all I've gotten is thread views...I'll try it again now with 9.2 only. What do you mean no bootloader and boot w/DVD? Like boot w/dvd in drive?

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. If you are reinstalling, do not select/install EFI bootloader and anything related to EFI. I believe there is something about non-EFI things at the bottom of customization. When successful, you can install Chameleon rc3 as a bootloader.
