Help me choose a distro....

My specs are in my signature...I am very new to Mac...so pls bear wth me

I had tried Kalyway ....it didnt wrk
Tried Leo4all...it installed properl...but hung at the apple loading screen...i ran it in the verbose mode...and it said "Still waiting for root device"

pls suggest a LEOPARD distro for my spec...
