Speedstep just throttles down the CPU under...
Speedstep just throttles down the CPU under certain circumstances, to reduce power consumption etc... could help battery life, I seem to get around 4 hrs under OSX and 5-6 under XP, with no tweaks....

There is no need to remove all the partitions like I do if you want to keep the restore partition from your manufacturer. The guy with the LG130 did it without removing them.

This is quite unusual. Make sure you're not installing on top of OSX i.e. make sure the partition is reformatted. You say it freezes 20 seconds into the boot?
Maybe redump iatkos to the partition...

I wrote a post in the Netbook section about my installation of iatkos v7 10.5.7 on my Atom, Gma950 etc netbook... I wouldn't know how to install it on some fancy laptop but for the netbooks...
